A Wrap-Up Of 2019: Laying Foundations For The Road Ahead
Kick Ecosystem presents the final round-up of main achievements throughout the 2019 year
It is, as the song goes, the most wonderful time of the year and as Bitcoin turns 10, so we look back at our own milestones over the last 12 months. Not unlike the father of cryptocurrencies, we’ve had many newsworthy moments and as innovators in the most exciting sector on the planet, we’re thrilled to have completed some important steps towards our first major goals.
What we achieved in 2019
‣ Launched referral program KickRef and unified login service KickID, achieved over 290,000 registrations;
‣ Launched KickAcademy, an innovative online learning institute that provides exclusive research and data to beginner and advanced crypto enthusiasts alike;
‣ Beta testing of our KickEX exchange begins;
‣ Expansion of in-house team to over 30 developers;
‣ From Published a White Paper in 3 different languages;
‣ Released the official KickEcosystem roadmap.
Not just a rebrand
The company that began its life as KICKICO transformed into something more ambitious in 2019, and it started with a new name, Kick Ecosystem. Although we are still excited about our own approach to fundraising and ICOs, we broadened our horizons with our vision of a next-gen fintech ecosystem that includes an exchange, a referral program, an academy and much more.
From a dedicated fundraising platform with a pioneering AIO model as well as forward-looking STO features, we are now creating a ‘one-stop-shop’ capable of satisfying the growing global demand for trusted crypto products and services. With a suite of cutting-edge market-leading products, we will be the hub where the fiat and cryptocurrency worlds meet.
Keeping you in the loop
Our mission is to be as transparent as possible with our community. In the summer, our development team created their “Dev Diaries” series which lays out the latest technical achievements and their thoughts on upcoming tasks. They have so far published 13 diary issues which cover the progress of Kick Ecosystem in amazing detail. KickToken
Throughout 2019 KickToken has been listed on many exchanges and featured in exciting promotions (such as the Sistemkoin competitions) designed for our community. We have learned much from our partnerships with exchanges and have now decided that less is more, reducing the number of exchanges that list our token and focusing on quality, liquidity and transparency. Our eyes are always open to the possibility of new partnerships in 2020, however, if they meet our criteria.
KickToken is currently listed on Sistemkoin, Exmo, KuCoin, Coinsbit, HitBTC, Coinsbit and Mercatox. Once our own KickEX exchange launches, that’ll be the place to go to buy, sell, trade and use KICK.
KickEX and KickRef
Perhaps the most exciting developments of the year were the launch of our exchange referral program and the start of beta testing of the exchange itself.
Our KickRef referral program launched in October and in just 3 months we have welcomed over 290,000 members, which exceeded our expectations. Given that 50% of exchange revenue generated from fees will be redistributed through the KickRef program, perhaps we will smash our forecast of 300,000 new traders when the exchange launches!

As for KickEX, our fully licenced exchange is the final phases of testing which you can join right now. With cutting-edge trading tools you won’t find anywhere else and low fees ranging from 0,2% to 0%, KickEX will be a huge new player in the crypto exchange space when it launches early next year.
KickToken Swap and Kick Smart Contract
Security is one of our highest priorities and in September, with the help of cybersecurity experts, KICK updated the smart contract to make it absolutely impenetrable. This involved the swapping of KickCoins for KickTokens and we’re pleased to have concluded the swap with minimal disruption.
Frozen Drop
In November we announced a revolutionary new style of airdrop. The Frozen Drop is a unique marketing tool which uses a proprietary algorithm to distribute tokens to over 150,000 of the most deserving address owners.
Tokens are locked until certain conditions are met, which prevents the airdrop impacting token price and encourages recipients to follow our progress and participate on the KickEX platform at launch.
We believe Frozen Drop to be a unique invention that, which provides a huge number of advantages for everyone, and an absolute gain for our community and the upcoming launch of KickEX exchange.
Commercial partnerships
Russia’s own Silicon Valley, the state-operated Skolkovo Innovation Center, gave us ‘resident status’ which will be essential in creating and leveraging strategic partnerships in the region. We were also pleased to build relationships with Finnish VCs and startup experts which will help to fine-tune our approach to investment and growth in the coming years.
What’s coming in 2020
We’ll be working all hours in the New Year to get the KickEX exchange launched on desktop and mobile, as well as the beta version of the new KickICO platform. Our exciting roadmap also includes the launch of several other Kick Ecosystem features including the KickCPA ad network tool, KickPay merchant gateway and KickDesk, a tool that enables blockchain projects to integrate KickICO fundraising into their own platforms. Oh, yea, and global domination…!
