Important Notice Regarding Upcoming Ethereum Update “Paris”
Dear KickEX Users,
UPD: Since the Ethereum Merge does not have exact predicted time, KickEX team suspends deposits and withdrawals at 4pm (UTC) on September 14, in order to protect users’ savings.
The current estimated time for the Ethereum Merge is 2022–09–15 at 01:00am — 11:00 am (UTC) — This is an estimated time and subject to change, depending on when the Terminal Total Difficulty Value of 58750000000000000000000 is reached. Deposits and withdrawals for the Ethereum network (ERC-20) will be suspended on 2022–09–14 at 4:00 pm (UTC).
Please ensure that you leave sufficient time for your ETH and ERC-20 tokens transfers to be fully processed prior to the above time. We will handle all technical requirements for users holding ETH and ERC-20 tokens on KickEX.
Trading
ETH and ERC-20 token trading pairs will not be affected. After the Merge, ETH trading pairs will remain the same on the PoS chain.
Regarding the Merge
In case the chain splits into two competing chains and a new token is created. The “ETH” ticker will be used for the Ethereum PoS chain.
KickEX reserves the right to update the treatment of the chain split in a further announcement.
In order to protect KickEX users, the forked token (presumably “ETHW”) will go through the same listing review process as KickEX does for any other coin/token. KickEX does not guarantee any listings as per our internal policy.
