What is Basic Attention Token (BAT)?
The Basic Attention Token (BAT) was developed to address the broken digital advertising market. BAT is an ERC20 token and used in a decentralized, open-source blockchain-based digital advertising platform. In the ecosystem, advertisers give publishers BATs based on the measured attention of users. Users get compensated for their attention — receive some BATs for participating — while also remaining private and anonymous. BAT has been integrated into the Brave browser’s first global private ad platform with 22.2 million monthly active users, where 1 million verified creators are accepting BAT.
